“Looking back and reaching forward, songs of my ancestors; The Lost Museum Paintings.” The Heritage Series is a painting and sculpture series that celebrates the African Diaspora and Native Americans. Though not representational of any singular person, it is inspired from various images of real and imaginary people of African, African Diaspora and Native American descent and created to give agency to my forefathers whose images are underrepresented in museums.
